2011 G-Force Bodybuilding Team

Halfway through the 2011 season, the G-Force Bodybuilding Team continues to make their mark not only on the Northwest bodybuilding scene, but in a BIG way at the national level as well. Dan and I proudly sent three of our athletes to the Masters Nationals and the USA’s in July, and our team represented excellently. We are so very, very proud of these athletes, their hard work, and their

Ann Gannon courtesy of RX MuscleFirst up, our mighty little “BIG” girl, Ann Gannon of Spokane, Washington (all of 4’11” and boasting a contest weight of a shredded 110 pounds this year) made her mark at Masters Nationals in Pittsburgh on July 22nd by winning the Over-55 women’s class, and then placing 3rd in the Over-45 Lightweight women’s class. Ann made her national debut in 2010 at Masters Nationals, placing well in both classes last year (2nd in the Over-55, and 5th in the Over-45 classes), and then improved her placing in both classes this year and bringing home the Over-55 Championship trophy as well!

Moving onto Las Vegas the following weekend (July 29 & 30) for the USA’s Bodybuilding Championships, Ann continued with her winning ways, maintaining her beautiful conditioning and lean mass to compete in her first ever USA’s and produce a top five finish, placing 4th in the open women’s lightweight class. Ann is happy to rest on laurels for this year, and will be visiting the national events again in 2012 using her “off season” to work on improving her already incredible physique.

Joanna Wilson courtesy of RX MuscleJoining Ann at the show, Joanna Wilson of Centralia, Washington made her mark in the new Women’s Physique class, with a 5th place finish in the 5’4” – 5’6” class. Joanna started with G-Force as a figure competitor a few years ago, moved to bodybuilding in 2009 & 2010 (winning the 2010 overall at the Emerald Cup), and decided that the new women’s physique class was a better fit for her sleek and exotic look. This proved to be a good choice for Joanna giving her a top five national level finish in her very first venture out in this new class! Joanna plans to continue her quest to improve her national-level placing venturing next to Cleveland for the North American Championships over Labor Day weekend in September.

Heath Warren courtesy of RX MuscleCompleting the trio of G-Force athletes venturing to the USA’s, was Heath Warren from Warrenton, Colorado. Heath’s first venture to a national show with me coaching him was in 2004 when I prepped him for the National Bodybuilding Championships taking place in Dallas, Texas. Heath, a “mighty” little BIG bantamweight placed 3rd in his class that year. Heath took a hiatus from the scene for awhile, but decided to step back up this year and launch a major attack on the bantamweights at the USA’s. Qualifying for the show only 2 weeks before show day, he won the bantamweight class at the Colorado State Championships on July 16th. Weighing in at 138 (12 pounds over his 2004 Nationals contest weight), Heath’s superior conditioning, size, and beautiful aesthetic was just the right combination to reward him with the 1st place finish in the bantamweights at the USA’s! Hungrier than ever to win his pro card, Heath plans to venture to Miami in November and take the bantamweight class win at the National Bodybuilding Championships.

As I stated earlier, Dan and I are very, very proud of these three athletes and their accomplishments. We’ve been fortunate to have a great team of athletes this year and will be bringing you a separate page on this site dedicated to the team, where you will see photos and profiles of each athlete, read about their competition accomplishments and show goals, as well as testimonials from them on being a member of the G-Force team.
